For 1967, the 7 Litre model quietly disappeared, but the engine option was still available. Little else changed, except for trim and the styling. Most engines were available, from the 240 CID six-cylinder to the 428 CID V-8 – less the 352 CID V-8. The high performance 425 HP 427 CID V-8 was still an option.

1967 Ford Facts and Specifications
General Year Information – 1967 Ford Full Size Car
For 1967, the 7 Litre model quickly disappeared, but the engine option was still available. Little else changed, except for trim and the styling. Most engines were available, from the 240 CID six-cylinder to the 428 CID V-8 – less the 352 CID V-8. The high performance 427 was still an option.
The 1967 full-size Fords were completely restyled from the previous year, sharing only most drive train options with the 1966 models. The new models were more round, with rounder tops and fenders. At the front end, stacked quad head lights were used once again, but the grille was all new. It was a double stamped aluminum piece, featuring horizontal bars, divided by five vertical bars. The center portion of the grille projected forward, and this point was duplicated in the forward edge of the hood and in the bumper configuration. The body side feature lines were in the same location as the 1966 models but were somewhat less pronounced. The taillights were vertically situated rectangular units with chrome moldings and chrome crosshairs surrounding the standard equipment backup lights.
For 1967 all Fords featured a large, padded hub in the center of the steering wheel as a safety addition. An energy-absorbing steering column would be introduced late into the 1967 model year. There were padded interior surfaces, recessed controls on the instrument panel, and front outboard shoulder belts. The introduction of the dual brake master cylinder would be a part of all 1967 Fords.

- 352 CID V-8 Dropped as an Engine Option
- "7-Litre" As a Model is Gone
- 2-Door Hardtops Get New Roof line
The 250 HP 352 CID V-8 was dropped, with the 270 HP 2-barrel carbureted 390 as the base big block. This left a horsepower and torque gap from the 200 HP 289 CID -8 and the 390 – 70 HP and 123 ft. lbs. of torque.
In a strange move, the popular and image-making “7-Litre” performance Galaxie disappeared as a model. One could order the 345 and 360 HP 428 CID V-8s as an option.

The roof line on the 2-door hardtops was changed from a convex curve to a more natural silhouette. The rear passenger window opening was more formal in the LTD, while the Galaxie retained the more sporty approach.
