General Year Information – 1969 Ford Bronco
The Bronco looked about the same as before. However, there were some changes. The windshield no longer folded down and the side-marker light pads on the lower forward section of the front fenders had a lighter color. There was a black steering wheel grommet. The cowl area was improved to reduce road noise. The insulation was improved. The doors were changed. During the model year, two speed electric windshield wipers became standard.
Historical Notes
The Roadster was dropped. Even so, sales were up by over 4,000 units, with the majority of the jump in the wagon. The Roadster’s safety concerns on the open doors and its lack of occupant protection killed this model.
